WIN your way to a pair of Your Favourite Sunglasses!

Shopping for shades can be daunting. Shapes, colours, lenses…oh and what about which brand?

I think I have uncovered one of the best sites for sunglasses shopping in Australia – Your Favourite Sunglasses.

This up-and-coming Aussie retailer have realised that the disparity of prices on the net for sunnies can be quite large, and sadly, what costs $400 in Oz can be found online in some random country for $150.

I hate it when that happens!

YFS take current styles and high-end brands and sell them in Australia for crazy discounts. But not dodgy discounts. Their prices are on par with what our friends in the Northern Hemisphere would pay on a daily basis. The best part about this site is that all items are dispatched from Sydney (You wait just ONE DAY for dispatch and can enjoy FREE express delivery!) and they have a 30 day returns policy – so you can make sure the shades are right for you and buy with confidence.

They often hold sale events that give customers discounts up to a whopping 75%, and navigating around the site is super-easy. You can browse by shape, brand or style.

These are my picks from the current range, click the caption to buy!

Black and white is right!

Today I decided to rock a Monochrome outfit, largest inspired by my faaancy Rue Cat Marc Jacobs Smoking Slippers/ Loafers.

I teamed an old fave – a while Sass & Bide silk tee with asymmetrical hem, (I buy these in every colour they make!!!) quilted pleather skirt from Forever 21 and of course, the MJ smoking slippers/loafers with super comfy quilted innersole.

How to pronounce Lanvin… and other international brands

You’re in love with a Bal-Mayne skirt and you have just bought a Rod-Art-Ee sweater – you also can’t work out why you get odd looks whenever you talk about your Give-En-Chee wallet…

Chances are, you’re getting it all wrong. And you’re not alone! Even the most fash-forward have a hard time grasping the correct inflection of a tricky surname or up-and-coming French designer.

I found this little gem, and it helped me make sense of a few names I have never attempted to say… I hope this helps!!!

Kate Moss for Alexander McQueen

They were great mates, but strangely enough Kate Moss never ever posed as the face of Alexander McQueen…until now.

I’m LOVING this new campaign. Mossy looks totes divine (kinda like Tilda Swinton!) and the attention to detail in the SS14 campaign is quintessential McQueen.

It’s a bit cool, a bit quirky and a whole lot dark. The mini-Moss dolls add an eerie, voodoo element to the shoot, which was said to be inspired by 1960’s British Thriller film, Peeping Tom.

What do you think of the new campaign? Is McQueen bang on the money? Kate Moss still got it?

Net-A-Bargain!

Net-A-Porter are having a serious sale, and you won’t wanna miss it.

Traditionally, I’ve always been turned off by the exxy nature of Net-A-Porter. The prices were always in pounds, which then converted to an astronomical Aussie dollar which mad me very sad by the end of my browsing experience.

However, I did a ‘haul’ online yesterday and raided their amazing sale!

I wanted to buy so so soooo much more, but reigned it in to include the essentials. (HA!)

Here are my top picks from the 80% off range – you can pick up some ridiculous bargains!

My fave part? All items I’ve chosen below are under $200. You can’t afford not to!

Are you ready for this jelly?

As summer approaches, the need for fun footwear is at the top of every gals list. I have long been a pioneer of the jelly shoe, and am delighted to see them come back onto the fash scene with such a vengeance this summer.

Specifically, i’ve loved the Vivienne Westwood by Melissa range. It’s been around for ages, and I have to say each new collection never disappoints. I have a pair of jelly heels and countless pairs of jelly flats… they are so comfy and smell amazing! When I ask people to smell my shoe it’s often met with disgusted and puzzled looks but those who do take me up on my seemingly strange offer are just so excited when they get a whiff of the bubblegum-scented plastic Melissa uses!

It’s ingenious!

But, steering away from my love of The Viv by Mel range, I’ve had a scout round for the best jelly shoes of the season. From luxe to less, these shoes will make you smile, and prepare your tootsies for the warmer weather ahead.

You had these as a kid…so why not bring them back and rock them at the beach this weekend?
