Net-A-Bargain!

Net-A-Porter are having a serious sale, and you won’t wanna miss it.

Traditionally, I’ve always been turned off by the exxy nature of Net-A-Porter. The prices were always in pounds, which then converted to an astronomical Aussie dollar which mad me very sad by the end of my browsing experience.

However, I did a ‘haul’ online yesterday and raided their amazing sale!

I wanted to buy so so soooo much more, but reigned it in to include the essentials. (HA!)

Here are my top picks from the 80% off range – you can pick up some ridiculous bargains!

My fave part? All items I’ve chosen below are under $200. You can’t afford not to!

5 of the best: Shopping sites for when you’re broke

There’s nothing worse than having too much month left at the end of the money. And when you have a fashion itch to scratch, it’s purely torturous.

I know, Spongey. But an empty wallet won't get us very far.

I know, Spongey. But an empty wallet won’t get us very far.

Alas, behold! Here are 5 sites to shop while you wait for payday:

1. BOOHOO: http://www.boohoo.com

Fast fashion and an even faster turnaround. Shop here for clothing that will be on trend NOW and won’t break the bank. They have some impressive sales that give you extreme bang for your buck. Free shipping to AUS.

2. MISSGUIDED: http://www.missguided.com.au

Their mission statement proclaims ‘we believe fashion is a right not a luxury!’ Find catwalk and celeb inspired looks and affordable prices. What’s not to love?!

3. ASOS: http://www.asos.com

An obvious choice, but you just can’t go past this online Mecca. Along with the reasonably priced ASOS brand clothing, constant sales and promos mean you can score top brands for drastically reduced prices.

4. TOPSHOP: http://www.topshop.com.au

Shop a large range of fashions at the amazing top shop online store. I remember the days when everything was in pounds and you had to ship over from London Town. Now, it’s so simple, quick and tres du jour!

5.LADAKH: http://www.Ladakh.com.au

I often forget about Ladakh. Stocked in Myer, Glue etc. it kinda gets lost among all of the other brands that are stocked in department stores. On trend, edgy dresses, tops and pants are well priced and local, too!

I’d love to know where you shop when you’re trying to be thrifty.

Witchery – the best picks from the mid-season sale (FURTHER 20% off!)

I love Witchery. Yes, there are some questionable items sometimes, but hey – they generally come out with some amazing, wear-to-death pieces.

I just don’t think you can go wrong with them.

I also enjoy that you can get pretty much everything for a complete outfit (including undergarments!).

Here are my top picks of the sale range, some essential buys you shouldn’t miss!

Alexander Wang – must-have pieces at half price!

Sale season is very much upon us (a quick look at my bank balance reaffirms this) and the bargains couldn’t be better.

Today I am straying away from the Aussie brands featured last week,  and I’m jumping continents to the UK and The Outnet.

Think of this site as the little sister with the fabulous hand-me-downs to net-a-porter.com, one of the first purely online high-end boutiques.

I’m focusing today on Alexander Wang, and the must-have pieces you can find floating around on the Outnet for oh, I don’t know, 50+% off?!

Oooh I can hear your gasp from here!

Here’s my pick of the bunch…

The  Jacket

Structured panels, a clean silhouette and a flattering cut make this THE leather jacket to have in your wardrobe. And at 60% off you can’t afford not to.

wang leather

Leather Jacket   £1,123.88  £361.67 (60% OFF)

The Heels

Can’t say I wear heels a lot of the time, I need to build my trust with a decent pair and once I find them, I commit for life (the life of the shoe, that is, before I skin it to death).

These sandals just look soft and so effortlessly chic. The crossover straps are flattering and in grey, they go with everything.

Leather Sandals £387.50  £193.75 (50% OFF)

The Tank

A silk tank suits any body shape and holds the power to immediately lift an outfit from casual to sexy. This simple Wang piece is perfect for work or play and comes in two bold colours.

wang tank 1 wang tank 2

Enzyme Silk racer-back tank £195.83  £78.33 (60% OFF)

The Dress

A relaxed shift dress is a versatile piece you can wear all year long. I’d rock this bad boy with some tan sandals in summer or even the aforementioned Wang heels. In winter, layer this up with stockings, boots and a mid-thigh length coat.

Color-block silk crepe de chine dress £295.83 £133.12 (55% OFF)

Country Road Mid Season sale – the pick of the bunch

WOW!

Okay, so there have been some wicked sales of late (’tis the mid season!) and Country Road have joined in the fun, slashing prices on some amazing pieces to build your winter wardrobe.

Here’s my pick of the bunch:

The Classic Coat

A double-breasted style will always remain in fashion, and is perfect for the chilly mornings and nights. This style is a versatile length that can be worn over a dress or teamed with jeans or pants. An essential if you’re looking for a classic buy:

CR coat

Double Breasted CoatAUD $349.00 AUD $229.00

The Metallic Mini

I’ve blogged about my love for shiny skirts before and I still think the metallic trend is super cool and easy to work in to your wardrobe. Love the length and the style. Layer it up with opaque tights and ankle boots or a simple black tee and high-top sneakers for a funky look.

CR skirt

Metallic Mini, AUD $99.00 AUD $59.00

The Knit

I’m not a huge fan of thick jumpers because I can never stand them on my body for too long, but I LOVE this chunky striped knit, and I knew I’d be buying it as soon as I scrolled through! Monochrome is a huge trend for the season and is functional for both day and night. I will be teaming mine with some leather trousers and heels for a slick look.

CR jumper

Textured Stripe KnitAUD $99.00 AUD $49.00

The Jean

Camo is also very du jour, and these jeans are simply fab! I think that you can really do so much with camo print, the colours compliment a pop of bright orange or a  bronze (a metallic bronze, even!!!) Great for the winter months.
