WIN your way to a pair of Your Favourite Sunglasses!

Shopping for shades can be daunting. Shapes, colours, lenses…oh and what about which brand?

I think I have uncovered one of the best sites for sunglasses shopping in Australia – Your Favourite Sunglasses.

This up-and-coming Aussie retailer have realised that the disparity of prices on the net for sunnies can be quite large, and sadly, what costs $400 in Oz can be found online in some random country for $150.

I hate it when that happens!

YFS take current styles and high-end brands and sell them in Australia for crazy discounts. But not dodgy discounts. Their prices are on par with what our friends in the Northern Hemisphere would pay on a daily basis. The best part about this site is that all items are dispatched from Sydney (You wait just ONE DAY for dispatch and can enjoy FREE express delivery!) and they have a 30 day returns policy – so you can make sure the shades are right for you and buy with confidence.

They often hold sale events that give customers discounts up to a whopping 75%, and navigating around the site is super-easy. You can browse by shape, brand or style.

These are my picks from the current range, click the caption to buy!

Net-A-Bargain!

Net-A-Porter are having a serious sale, and you won’t wanna miss it.

Traditionally, I’ve always been turned off by the exxy nature of Net-A-Porter. The prices were always in pounds, which then converted to an astronomical Aussie dollar which mad me very sad by the end of my browsing experience.

However, I did a ‘haul’ online yesterday and raided their amazing sale!

I wanted to buy so so soooo much more, but reigned it in to include the essentials. (HA!)

Here are my top picks from the 80% off range – you can pick up some ridiculous bargains!

My fave part? All items I’ve chosen below are under $200. You can’t afford not to!

Heart & Soul

Burberry has always been known for it’s iconic check print.

Usually it’s met with divided responses – some think it’s an upmarket, beautifully Brit brand, others stand firm on it’s place in Chav society.

Whether you like it or not, open your mind and check out  the new heart print they’ve bought out this year….I for one, LOVE it.

I’m calling it now, and suggesting Heart Print is going to be a big trend in the months to come. When researching, I saw a lot of UK and international sites are stocking apparel with the print, but it hasn’t quite come over the seas just yet for us Aussie shoppers.
Never fear though, if you want to wear the print you can shop online for these items to get the look – without spending the big bucks on the Burbs.

David Jones EXTRA 25% off fashion!

I know what I will be doing in my lunch break.

I’ve recently moved offices and I am a WHOLE lot closer to the Sydney shopping Mecca that is Pitt St Mall & Sydney Westfield.

(Cue squeals of excited glee!)

It’s so easy, quick, dangerous… I can see the silver parts on my credit card eroding with constant use!

Imagine my delight, when I received this EDM yesterday:

djs

There are a few things I’ve been noticing when browsing in store, and was waiting for an opportunity like this for a real bargain to be had.
It can be a risky venture, your prized item can sell out, or on the flip side, you could score it for an even bigger bargs if you pay the waiting game. Comparing the online sale to the in store stock is always tricky too, and usually not as good as the tactile sale experience in most department stores, but DJ’s have really stepped it up! There’s so much to view online, so don’t fret if you can’t make it in store before Sunday. (Free online shipping over $50 to Aussie residents!!)

Here is my guide to the sale, the best in show in each apparel and accessory category – and conveniently you can shop this as an entire outfit! 🙂

Happy shopping! And do let me know if you’ve had a sales success! xx

NOTE: ALL PRICES HERE ARE EXCLUSIVE OF THE EXTRA -25% DISCOUNT. SO MORE SAVINGS TO BE HAD AT THE CHECKOUT! 🙂

Click Frenzy: The sale you can’t afford to miss

As we sale closer to the financial year end (see what I did there?! HA!) prices are being slashed on everything.

Click Frenzy is an online shopping hub that partners with some excellent, well known retailers to bring you drastically reduced prices and bargains you can’t afford not to have!

They usually do two sales a year, with their EOFY sale their biggest and best. Here you can pick up some brilliant finds across a range of items including fashion, homewares and electrical goods.

But, here’s the catch… you have to be ON IT, as the sale only lasts 24 hours!

Online shopping with a million other people can be really annoying, and the people at Click Frenzy have come under some fire in the past for having unpopular items on sale or worse – paltry discounts. But, I figure that you need to be in it to win it, so it is worth having a look.

The sale starts tonight, Tuesday June 25th at 7pm.

Early birds do get the worm in this sale. Register HERE for the Click Frenzy preview and avoid the rush…and let me know how you go! X

Lisa Ho – another Aussie fashion retailer bites the dust

Lisa Ho, an Australian fashion label known for creating quintessential evening wear, bridal gowns and funky separates has announced it will permanently close it’s doors to all stores across the country.

The announcement comes after the brand  went into voluntary administration on May 8.

It’s just too sad! What is the shape of things to come for Australian fashion?

Lisa Ho is an iconic brand that has been creating stylish and on trend pieces for over 30 years. With the rise of fast, international fashion such as Zara, Topshop, ASOS etc. we are losing our local fashion and the iconic brands we all know and love.

The only good thing about the closure is that there is a huge SALE on now at the Lisa Ho website and at the following concept stores until June 30th:

Lisa Ho Strand Arcade, Sydney

Lisa Ho @ David Jones, Elizabeth Street Sydney

Lisa Ho @ David Jones, Bourke Street Melbourne

Country Road Mid Season sale – the pick of the bunch

WOW!

Okay, so there have been some wicked sales of late (’tis the mid season!) and Country Road have joined in the fun, slashing prices on some amazing pieces to build your winter wardrobe.

Here’s my pick of the bunch:

The Classic Coat

A double-breasted style will always remain in fashion, and is perfect for the chilly mornings and nights. This style is a versatile length that can be worn over a dress or teamed with jeans or pants. An essential if you’re looking for a classic buy:

CR coat

Double Breasted CoatAUD $349.00 AUD $229.00

The Metallic Mini

I’ve blogged about my love for shiny skirts before and I still think the metallic trend is super cool and easy to work in to your wardrobe. Love the length and the style. Layer it up with opaque tights and ankle boots or a simple black tee and high-top sneakers for a funky look.

CR skirt

Metallic Mini, AUD $99.00 AUD $59.00

The Knit

I’m not a huge fan of thick jumpers because I can never stand them on my body for too long, but I LOVE this chunky striped knit, and I knew I’d be buying it as soon as I scrolled through! Monochrome is a huge trend for the season and is functional for both day and night. I will be teaming mine with some leather trousers and heels for a slick look.

CR jumper

Textured Stripe KnitAUD $99.00 AUD $49.00

The Jean

Camo is also very du jour, and these jeans are simply fab! I think that you can really do so much with camo print, the colours compliment a pop of bright orange or a  bronze (a metallic bronze, even!!!) Great for the winter months.

The winter edit – Gorman

I’ve been feeling really guilty lately, because a lot of my purchases have been from international brands, and I do love my Aussie fashion!

Last week I bought two amazing pieces from Gorman that I had been eyeing off for ages. their prints are so so so cool, and the quality is amazing.

Usually, when I’m stressed in life, I shop. It makes me feel 100% better. The euphoria as I type in my credit card number (Yep, off the top of my head) and typing in the CCV makes life feel a whoooole lot better.

Work has been so hectic lately that I hadn’t even had the time to browse…so when a colleague strolled in with a FABULOUS Gorman printed jacket I knew enough was enough, and logged on to their online store.

There, I found her amazing jacket, a standout buy that will get you through the winter months…

And I also bought the iconic printed tee from Gorman (of which I already have matching socks!!)

Modern Love  tee, $99

After much deliberation I then added a funky mustard jumper to my cart and pressed ‘checkout’.

Ahhhh, I got my hit! The ‘thank you for your order’ screen has never felt more rewarding.

If you need some retail therapy, indulge. I guarantee it will soothe all the hurt in your life. 🙂
